After spending over 15 years in advertising, in 2014, Anand stepped out of his full time advertising job. Having dabbled in directing commercials, while he was still in advertising, he tried his hand at taking it further. With every subsequent commercial he directed, Anand honed his skill. His stellar experience with some of country’s biggest brands in top advertising agencies helped him big, especially when it came to telling brand stories via films.
He has directed films for some of India’s best brands like ICICI, Paisabazaar.com, Policybazaar.com, Rin, Pril, Red Label Tea, Maruti Suzuki, Benadryl, Nirma Advance, Finolex Fans…and not to forget, the famous ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign for AMFI which took the mutual fund industry to newer heights because of its exemplary and direct story telling which appealed to the core consumer who was, up till now, ignorant about this financial tool.
With A Glass of Whisky Production, Anand hopes to bring to the table some cutting edge brand story-telling coupled with his advertising experience.

Sunila Karir

Writer / Producer

Sunila brings with her an experience of 26 years in the advertising and media industry with a career spanning over various media like TV, internet, film and print.

Her passion for writing has seen her work in many a capacity like advertising copywriter, content manager, script writer, travel writer, corporate communications head and blogger, for which she has won several awards and accolades.

Sunila has scripted for channels like Pogo (Chota Bheem), Disney TV and Hungama worked on brands like Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Pilsbury, Finolex, Nirma Advance, Greatwhite Electricals, Tata Sky, Tata Value Homes…and over 300 more brands.

She has written screenplays for movies including the heartwarming “Aapdi Thaapdi” which is currently running on Amazon Prime as well as Zee 5.

Her multimedia skills as a creative writer are an asset to our company especially when it comes to perfecting our story telling and adding value to whatever scripts we undertake at hand.

At GOWPPL, she helms the Finance and Costume department apart from being the resident writer and screenplay mentor.

Besides the film and advertising industry, Sunila is a British Council certified English Language coach. She trains people for Content and Creative writing as well has hones their English speaking skills.
